Life gets hard for so many reasons. We often lose track of them in the chaos of surviving daily life. My role as a counselor is to give you a safe place to process and talk about all of them, sort them out, and begin to flourish in this life.

Professionally, I primarily have experience working with individuals of all ages who struggle with eating disorders and body dysmorphia (and other co-occurring struggles). I am also interested in working with those who struggle with gender dysphoria, physical disability, and other experiences that make living in the physical body uncomfortable and even unwanted. I combine Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) with somatic practices, and am looking forward to getting certified in other therapies/modalities that will benefit those who find living in their physical body a challenge. Additionally, I work closely with a team outside of CityCare that consists of dietitians and a nurse practitioner and can provide you an opportunity to work with them alongside us to give you the best shot at achieving recovery!

I also thoroughly enjoy working with individuals that struggle with anxiety disorders, OCD, and interpersonal struggles. It is my hope that my office is truly a refuge for all who enter.

Personally, I am in eating disorder recovery. Recovery from an eating disorder is terrifying, and often you want it one day and refuse to seek it the next. In my recovery journey, I found it helpful and healing to speak with someone who knew ED intimately. While eating disorder recovery truly feels impossible, it isn’t and I feel blessed to testify to that while walking with you to seek it for yourself. There is hope found in the gospel for all of us who feel uncomfortable (or even disgusted) with our physical bodies. The truth is that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator, and there is hope that this is not our home and this body is not our body for eternity. I look forward to partnering with you to seek and find appreciation for the vessel you find yourself in on this side of Heaven.
